Snow day
I wish I had such a thing as a snow day. It has to snow MASSIVE amounts for businesses to close. I wish I could crawl back in bed and sleep the day away. I already feel like I had a full day already - got up and cleaned the house at 7 am since my mom called last night and said she is coming tomorrow for the weekend....because she can. She's on her sabbatical and her time is hers. She's not staying here (at a hotel instead) but will be here enough and the house needed cleaning.
The snow is pretty, but c'mon mother nature...it's March and I am sick of the snow and cold already. Go away. We already "spring ahead" this weekend which seems ridiculous, especially with cold temps and SNOW.
I'm tired and if it didn't matter how I used my PTO (scheduled or unscheduled) I would call in. But, it does and I have to be this thing called a responsible adult so I am going to get into the shower and go to work. I should just be glad that I don't have rush hour traffic to meddle with. Then again, I don't get off work until 7:30 either so there is a compromise in there somewhere.
