Kamui

Kamui is a the story of a young "nukenin" (runaway ninja) starting a life in a fishing town. It's a historical action movie, with over-the-top acrobatics, supernatural ninja feats (including bunshin), and heavy-handed narration. The characters and their interactions are a bit shallow, though a few of them are pretty interesting.

I enjoyed the movie, but the ending makes the film seem a bit pointless, and thematically unfocused.
