Rubik's Cube in 20 Moves

Aug 13, 2010 12:25

So I read a news article on how Rubik's Cubes can be solved in 20 moves and I'm unimpressed.

It sounds like the team reduced the search space and then brute-forced the results, which is brainless. It impresses me as much as brute-forcing Chess or Checkers and claiming the script is an AI.

Anyway, it reminds me of how years ago I saw a bunch of kids with Rubik's Cubes in the shopping centre, and found out they were training for puzzle-solving championships that were being held a month later. That was pretty cool.
