Flight
I flew back from DFW to Durham today, ending my Thanksgiving break. It was great to see my family, but as yall know flying always makes me a little uneasy. Today's flight was neat though--I was taking off at 6:40 am central, so the sun wasn't up yet, and I was flying east into the sunrise, and after I got above a layer of thin clouds, I got to look out at the sunrise. I saw rainbow bands of color in the sky--not a rainbow, but like, bands of rainbow colors throughout the whole sky. I don't know if it was just the way the airplane window made the light look as it hit my eye, but there were bands of rainbow colors, faint but definitely there, of faint purple to faint dark blue to faint light blue to faint green to faint orange to faint red which went back into faint purple, all throughout the entire sky. It was pretty incredible!
