Life has to be crazy or it would just be a bunch of Thursdays strung together...

Today was a quite entertaining day, let me tell you.  I woke up early and had a lovely bowl of rice krispies.  Then, I went to church.  Today was Children's Day, which means that almost every child who is in church school goes and the service is designed by children and afterwards, we all play games and there is icecream and a barbeque and such and such.  It is loads of fun!  The service was funny but crowded because since they have closed off the sanctuary due to roof construction, we are all stuffed into fellowship hall.  After this, Meg, Kyle and myself participated in a scavenger hunt that involved us going door to door on the street nearby and asking for toothpicks and moldy food items.  It was muy interesante.  Then, we had everything but we managed to misplace our bag that contained all of the items (which included a moldy zucchini from helen's house and a couple of dead flies).  By the time we had found it, 2 other groups had finished before us.  However, they all had taken green markers and drawn mold on their food items!  So, we won, except they didnt announce it until after I had left, so I just heard that we had won from Kyle.  Apparently, we won some prize and Meg and Kyle decided to give it to me, but I don't know what the heck it is, only that it matches with my room (so says Meghan, but I don't know).  Kyle's going to give it to me tomorrow before lunch.

After the scavenger hunt, I ordered a cheeseburger from the barbeque pit and went to help Meg paint children's faces.  I was the one the children asked if they wanted flowers and if they wanted lobsters, they asked Meg.  I dont know why all of them wanted lobsters, but they did, so Meg did them all.  Kyle made me paint a big flower on his face and he looked pretty funny, especially when he burst into song and sang, "I feel pretty".  There was a pie-eating contest between kindergarten to 4th grade (in which Julia McC won), between 5th through 8th (i forgot who won that one...) and between adults (9th and above).  Usually our reverend wins the adult contest, but last year another man did.  He had a bald head and he made me paint "Pie Man" on it before the contest.  My dad participated in it too along with Mark and Kyle and my confirmation mentor's husband. It was really close and we all paid attention only to "Pie Man" and Reverend Spencer.  Imagine our surprise when Kyle blew them all away and won!  My dad came in 2nd place, the Reverend in 3rd, and Pie Man in 4th.  It was quite exciting.  Mark and Kyle tried to make me go into the contest, but I didn't feel like wolfing down a pie like a pig.  Instead, I stole a blueberry pie that was extra and stuck it in the car so that I could bring it home and eat it in a more civilized manner.  Oh, and by the way, the pies they ate weren't real full-sized pies, they were the small kinds you can by at a supermarket to put in your lunch.

When the pie-eating contest was finished, I had some icecream (chocolate of course) and helped Meg with supervising the relay races between the little kids.  Everyone won prizes for that one and it was so cute to see how competitive some of them were.  By the time that was over, my dad found me, my brother, and my sister and told us we were going home.  My little cousin Andrew that was adopted from Russia was coming over soon along with the whole family from my mom's side.  We were going to celebrate his and my uncle's birthday at my house.

Andrew is so adorable!  I spent most of the time they were here sipping ice tea and doing silly things to make Andrew laugh hysterically.  I exhausted myself pushing my other cousins and my siblings on our swing in our backyard and pushing them on the hammock (sp?).  Hunter (my neighbor's dog) came by for a visit also and howled a bit for us.  Andrew spent a lot of time chasing the cats too, saying over and over again "Kitty!" in his sweet little voice.  I love Andrew!  He's my favorite cousin now, and then 2nd place comes Stuey, and 3rd is both Allison and Craig.  The 10 other cousins that are left are all years older than me and I never really talk to them.  I don't know, I'm always really shy around them...

So, that was my de-awesome day.  Pretty sweet, eh?  Oh, and I was searching the internet for a picture of a griffin that looks most like Forgefyre and it's now my icon on lj.  he has very scarlet feather that look like fire! (hence the name "Forgefyre", lol)

oh and the siamese cat that i put on lj last time and said was Demilo, is what Demilo looks like, except Demilo has brighter blue eyes.  Just wanted to clear that up a bit...

Ciao!
