Things are finally moving forward. I'm about to run down to C-Ville to get all my stuff out of storage. Sorry everyone, we're in a rush. With any luck we'll be down to see people in a week.
The is weekend was fantastic. Saturday morning we went to IKEA to get some furniture for our new place. It's going to be the nicest place we've lived by far. After that we saw Transformers, which I was pleasantly surprised to discover is an incredible movie. Starscream doesn't speak with his traditional whiny voice and Megatron doesn't turn into a gun, but that doesn't stop it from being a pleasure to watch. If you have the time, I highly recommend catching it before it leaves theaters.
Then we met up with Liz, which was a wonderful surprise. I thought she was already in Indianapolis and that I wouldn't see her until much later, but things worked out well and the three of us got dinner and ice cream.
Yesterday I mostly just loafed around, but I also visited my brother to see his new black lab puppy. He and Lauren have named her Kona (after the Hawaiian volcano) and she's adorable. It'll probably be at least four years before we live someplace that allows pets, it's a shame.
Speaking of pets, we got a second paddletail newt on Wednesday and as of Saturday there are seven eggs on one of the lily pads. I looked on wikipedia to find out about paddletail newt breeding because once those eggs hatch the babies will be gobbled up by cories and I want to know if it's safe to move the eggs to a nursery tank. Wikipedia informed me that paddletail newts have never been successfully bred in captivity. Sometimes I forget that wikipedia can be wrong.
I'm off! Starting tomorrow morning I may not have net-access until I head down to visit people in C-Ville. So if you want us to call and make plans and such for when we're there you might want to send your phone number to whisperedthunder(at)gmail[dot]com so I can add it to my new phone.
