I've taken like, six years of French. It's not too hard of a language to learn, and surprisingly, once you know how each letter sounds, you can pronounce the whole language. It's not like English, when depending on the word, the letters sound different. Maybe try to find a French learning CD or something. It might help.

Umm, I've never actually used cassettes, but I've watched a lot of French movies, and even French songs, and trust me, it actually helps to listen to the language.
