[Out by the lakeside, there's a bit of a commotion. It sounds as if there's a constant earthquake of some sort going on in one controlled area, along with someone shouting ... something. It'd be easier to hear or understand if whoever was listening got a little closer ( Read more... )

[A man stands nearby, watching Leon hurl spells around. Magus was out to do some training of his own, but upon seeing the young man, he found his interest caught. Those were some nice spells, and even Crono and Frog would be impressed by the swordplay.

After a couple of minutes of just watching, he decides to announce himself in typical Magus fashion. Namely, stuff blowing up.] Dark Bomb!

[The attack smashes into one of the stone walls as it's falling, shattering the debris and sending it scattering. Magus smirks as dust and pebbles fall on the ground.]

[That right there damn near gave Leon a heart attack. Hearing the spell name, he immediately turns and looks in Magus' direction, turning back to see what the spell is doing.

After a few moments of watching the debris fall to the ground, Leon looks back again.]

Is this something you normally do? Interrupting the training sessions or others?

Hn. I suppose it would. [Even if this man isn't presenting himself as a threat at the moment, he's clearly powerful and not someone Leon knows of. He'll be keeping Chal out for the time being.]

But you've got some interesting spells... We don't have earth magic back on my world, or at least no one's ever used it that I've seen. [Magus's own Scythe is still safely sheathed on his back, but of course his deadliest weapons aren't material.]

None? [That's weird. Whatever, this person is from a different world, so things are obviously going to be different between the two places they're from.] ... Strange. I suppose every world has something that the others lack, though.

Most likely. The spell types are split into lightning, water, fire, and shadow back home, do you have all of those?

I do. There are also light, wind, and ice elements. [And probably more that I can't think of. Probably.]
