At least we're in good company!

Agreed, I loved the Impala stuff, and Cass was hilarious as always, and Jensen woobies like no one else!

But yea, Really?? I mean, seriously, all Dean contributes to the finale is to get beat up and be a good sport about it? He didn't even open the door!!! Good grief!

And Jared has just never been a good actor to me, but at least if he had someone decent to play off with, that final scene with him and Michael would have had more oopmph. Maybe the plan was for it to be Jensen, but then they had to backtrack cause they didn't want BOTH boys in the hole, so they threw Adam in there instead. You know, instead of changing the finale into something that made more sense *rolls eyes* But either way, not to be hard on both Jared and Jake, but that showdown between Michael and Lucifer was just bad. Just bad.

And really, I DON'T CARE! The show is supposed to be about the Winchester brothers, DEAN AND SAM! Not the Winchester brothers, Sam and Adam! or the Angelic brothers, Michael and Lucifer!

So for them to reduce the show to Dean doing nothing but get beat up, while Sam has a showdown with Lucifer, Lucifer has a showdown with Michael, and Sam to save the day with the power of his lurve, open the gate, and then throw himself in with his poor illegitimate brother and the big bad angel brothers, was just pathetic :-/

I couldn't even get into the flashbacks, because I feel like the have completely devalued the brother relationship this season, by taking it to the lowest it could go last season, and then not bringing it back in a satisfying way.

Sigh, it was just so bad.

Carol, I think I need some more Hope Verse! Maybe now that this season is over, I will catch up with some of my fanfic I'm behind on. I haven't even felt like reading fanfic lately, cause I'm just so turned off this season. But this being such a colossal joke actually makes me feel like reading some, if only to get the bad taste out of my mouth!

I know, right? I mean, REALLY?? This is what it came down to? The archangels whining in a field, inside the bodies of Sam and some half brother we just met in one episode before??

Now see, what would have been truly epic (to me) would have been to have it be Dean and Sam possessed, and then during the fight between Michael and Lucifer, for Dean and Sam to both be able to gain control of their angels out of their brotherly love for each other, and then to have them throw themselves in the pit to take out both Lucifer and Michael. And then have God rescue them, because they showed that love and family are important, and that is what matters, etc.

Something like that. Not the drivel we got. It was just ridiculous!

Carol, what is the way the final battle went down in Hope Verse? Did I miss the explanation, or are you keeping it purposefully ambiguous?

I kept it ambiguous for a bunch of reasons -
1) I didn't know what Kripke was going to do, and I hoped the little bit I said would mesh with it to some extent;
2) I didn't like the whole Apocalypse idea to begin with and I just wanted to shove it under the rug; and
3) I didn't want to take the time to write Armageddon, when it's the character stuff that interests me.

Reduced to its short form, it's: the various parties came together in a field outside of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Lucifer and Michael tried to have it out and God stepped in (a la John) and said, "Quit this shit." Sent L&M back where they belong, thanked Sam and Dean for their service, smoothed over Dean's nasty memories of Hell, and sent them on their way.

With a few bumps and bruises, of course.

Oh, I like, I like! LOL! See, now that's an ending!

So was the female Angel Dean vaguely remembers God, or God's messenger?
