I'm gonna go ahead and do a mass character fill-in, actually, because the rest might be fairly uninteresting as far as interactions go, but just in case:

Edward isn't the most trusting of guys so it'd take a hell of a lot of work. And Van already has one cranky tsun of mine to deal with >_>a HOWEVER he does come with a bundle of trauma already. He's just very durable. Van's observant as hell so he'd very likely notice the fact that Ed's limbs are metal (his footsteps have a different sound to them and a handshake is enough to reveal the arm).
Zack is pretty hard to traumatize (four years of experimentation with Hojo and he's stable? Van can try) so it's probably not worth the effort. The glowing eyes are worth a note though, if nothing else.
Suki is a pretty open type, since she's fairly untroubled. I think she'd trust him easily enough.
Mikage is ridiculously trusting but if Van makes too many creeperfaces he'll get Ayanami-vibes, so I'll toss him in the "maybe easy, maybe not" pile. He's also missing half a soul so his skin is cold to the touch. In case it comes up.
