I walked into the STC Office of Human Resources. While the secretary looks over my applications, a completely clueless young man keeps interrupting us asking, "And this?" as he points to the section of the application that asks about military service. "Are you on active service?" A blank stare. "Are you in the military?" He doesn't answer. Instead, he points to the previous employment section: "And this?" She explains it. "What if I don't have like the addresses and stuff?" Apparently just listing the phone number is enough for his application. I wouldn't doubt that he'll find a job before me. These people down here just hate qualified applicants, I tell you.

Then at the La Joya Office of Human Resources, the secretary is trying to find something wrong with my application because she's a bitch. She doesn't find anything on the first look-through, so she starts again and looks at my address. "Oklahoma Street? You need to write here how to get there." "Um, you want me to write directions to get to my house under 'Address?'" "Yes." I'm still confused because I'd figure the application would ask for directions if they were required from everyone, no? "Directions coming from where?" She sighs, wondering why I'm even applying because I'm sure that her friend who just walked in and interrupted to mention that she left her application for the same job for which I'm trying to apply will get the job. "You know, like, from a big street, how am I supposed to get to this address?" I sit back down and write the instructions. "Heading east on 495...."
