[Fate may have felt safe with Arf guarding the house, but there was no way she was just going to hide in the house while her familiar did all the work. She did know her limits though; nearly all of her magic was sealed outside of Bardiche's default form and her Barrier Jacket, so as much as she wants to go run off and check on other people, who knows how many zombies are out there. Best to stay where she won't be overwhelmed.

So here she is, standing on the front lawn with her familiar, Barrier Jacket active and Bardiche at the ready.]

Arf... are you okay?

[Silly question, but Fate can easily sense her uneasiness.]

[Any other time and Arf would've felt a bit nostalgic standing side-by-side with her master like this. It'd been a long time since she and Fate had fought together. But the gnawing feeling in her gut and the way Fate SMELLED was making it impossible for Arf to enjoy any aspect of this.]
