[Here's a voice no one's heard on the phones before. It took a bit of effort to use it given her form, but Arf's a smart wolf.]Does this town have a group dedicated to keeping an eye on and helping out the younger residents? Some of the adults here take advantage of the young. I guess those from Earth would call it a 'Town Watch ( Read more... )

I don't think it matters whether you're an adult or child. Or animal, apparently.

That may be, but adults in general are far more capable of taking care of themselves when compared to children.

So how do you define an adult?

That varies on one's species.

Well, maybe I'm a kid to you then; other people call me adultlike... so am I both? And a lot of human children don't want help. Sounds like you've picked a hard role to play.

Despite not wanting help and believing they can weather it alone, a child always needs someone there. Not exactly to interfere, but to support.

With how it is here, maybe they'll just get hurt anyway.

But to not try to help when one can is a crime in itself.

That's sweet. Though you know, kids can be pretty cruel too.

Yes, but that is usually the fault of the one who raised them. Patience and persistance can calm and redirect such energies in the young.

Mm... well, I kind of mean like if you mess up, and someone gets hurt. You're going to hear those them say stuff like 'why didn't you protect me!?' or 'where were you when I was getting hurt?'.

Think you can handle that from the kids you like so much~?

I've handled far worse. [and there's a very sad tone ot her voice then.]

Oh come on, I'm not trying to discourage you~ I just wanted to see if you were serious about it all. I think it's a great idea.

It'll take for more than that to discourage me. I'm not looking to play mother-wolf to the children, but to defend those that need it.

What's your name?

I'm Ami. It's nice to meet you~

[Mother-wolf? Well, there certainly were all kinds of people-- and not-quite-people-- here...] So are you the orange wolf from your message?
