It would appear that I am now employed here - as a librarian. While I don't mind being around books for much of the day, I find it odd that all of the drones are treating me as if I have been working there for years. I take it this is, ah, "normal" for Mayfield ( Read more... )

As for the problem with the books, to my eyes the selection is mostly books about the native tongue and its grammar. Mayfield insists on employing me as a schoolteacher, so I suppose that stands to reason.

Nothing more than grammar, essentially. Sad that such a basic class is necessary for the young adults at the high school.

The majority, but they're actually more easily dealt with. Mayfield's play at perfection makes them easily satisfied students.
