It would appear that I am now employed here - as a librarian. While I don't mind being around books for much of the day, I find it odd that all of the drones are treating me as if I have been working there for years. I take it this is, ah, "normal" for Mayfield ( Read more... )

It is. When I received my job as a teacher, they had been acting like I had been teaching since the beginning of the school year.

And the library definitely contains more than that. I've spent a sizable amount of time browsing the history books, myself.

The United States of America. There are some books about foreign history, but they're all written from an American perspective.

If there are texts on America in the library, does that mean Mayfield is supposedly in that land?

Yes. I don't know where Mayfield is truly located, but it was made to emulate an American town circa 1955.
