Real update as promised
So thursday afternoon was definitely a total blast compared to going home on the last day of the semester and festering in my own boredom. Ran late with photography (frantically trying to finish up my notebook before the end of class and failling) and thus couldn't go to see the movie I was planning on watching with Dan T. (Glory Road) before the party. Watched the Power Ranges Movie on VHS instead and DUDE that totally brought back fond memories of my childhood..watching power rangers every single day. Mhm, good times. Left for Sarah's house and definitely didn't run into any deer although we were really afraid we would (her house feels like it's in the middle of nowhere with a winding road that goes on forever and spooky trees all around). Got there..most of the time was spent burning first semester papers in Sarah's neet. I didn't bring any myself but I joined in the fun and plenty of pictures were taken to capture the moment (Did anyone else know that college viewbooks give off pretty colors when they burn?). Ate kabobs and icecream with brownies. Subject of prom was brought up (mom of one of my friends apparently has an inside connection with a limo driver who'll charge $30 less than normal price per person). At first I was all totally for it - going with the group in a limo and all that. Never been in a real limo, let alone in one to go to a dance lol. Anyways now I'm not so sure..it's too early to think about anywyas so I'll probably think about it more when it comes time to make a decision (end of feb apparently). Was going to play a game called Mafia but I had to get home "early" but then it turned out that we couldn't leave because someone was blocking Dan's car so we actually ended up leaving after everyone else did. Found directions to my house from Sarah's in the mean time and I got home at around 11 something. Lights outside my house were of course turned on and as soon as I walk in, I see my parents watching TV in the living room. I go upstairs and they tell me to go to bed "early" before turning off the tv immediately and going to sleep themselves. I mean I'm used to them waiting up for me but it gets a little annoying when they really don't need to. Aieee whatever. So that was that.
Friday - worked on scholarship stuff and I can't remember what else.
Saturday - Ran around my neighborhood before lunch and found, to my utmost disgust, that I'm really out of shape. I ran up this really big hill, and it was a huge hill mind you, but it took me like 5 min to catch my breath afterwards. WHAT THE CRAP! I felt like Homer Simpson in that episode where you see him almost pass out from running and then you see he only ran like 5 feet. Yuck. Anyways and also went to the park and even though the monkey bars I used to climb on are long gone (county like rebuilt all the playgrounds in the area) and replaced with dinky little ones, I still went back and forth on them and even climbed up a pole like I used to be able to. So definitely happy about that. I'll just make it a point to try to go to the park whenever possible so I can get good at climbing like a monkey again.
Went to my cousin's place that afternoon to celebrate Chinese New Year. Watched episodes of Prison Break I downloaded on my laptop...talked...ate food..watched movies..and the last half of the night was devoted to discussing my cousin's future (FBI or Patent Office). We (basically her brother) came to the decision that the Patent Office would be best even if it was going to mean more work for more pay. But I got a call from her today saying that she and her family (her brother doesn't know yet lol) have decided that she should work for the FBI instead. She still has time to make her decision of course so we'll see how that goes..
So yeah with the new year I'm going to try to keep all my promises and be more diligent in all the things I do..so good luck to everyone else and happy end of semester!
