I figured it would be better to just accept this as reality first and then be relieved if it turns out to be a crazed dream. Makes things a little easier, I think.

Cocoon? It is difficult to explain it in full. It is a beautiful world, a massive floating continent of sorts. However, it is controlled not by its human citizens but by beings known as fal'Cie.

...It truly is difficult to explain to one not from Cocoon. Though whether my world perishes or not is unknown to me. It was on the brink of destruction when I came here.

Of sorts, I suppose. I wish there were a simpler way to explain, however, without going into the entire history of Cocoon, it would be impossible to understand.
