Ha ha ha! Wow, what a whirlwind of week or two! Last week I packed up my bags, got on a Greyhound bus and went back to T-Town for a visit! I worked at the Taste of Tacoma, which I found on the CraigsList website for temporary jobs...That place seriously rocks yo! The job was great, the people were great, the festival was great and...I had a GREAT time! They wanted me to work at Bite of Seattle, but I will be corn de-tassling at that time :( Sadness!
Oh well...the bus rides there and back were long (over two days each), but the time in the middle was the best oreo creme of a treat ever :) First day I got in was so awesome. Jay picked me up at the bus station and showed me the hidden sights of Tacoma...too many to describe. Then we picked Laur up and went shopping for BBQ food and BBQed! Then I finally showered and we went to E-9 for Karaoke! It wasn't just like old times, but it was still fun! Jozie and Adrian came and Larissa even drove up from Camis!!! Then Jon and Matt and the MAT program people showed and I downed quite a few drinks really fast. Jozie got me a Snakebite...WHOA dude...WHOA. It rocked! And Jay sang a Frank Sinatra song...it was sweet! The next few days were a blur of work and hanging out with Jay and Laur! A ton of people came to see me at the Taste, including Jay twice ;) I had yummy gyros, strawberry shortcake, strawberry lemonade, ice cream smoothies, pizza...MMMM!!!
Sigh. We went to several beaches, played soccer, flew kites, skipped rocks, had picnics, saw the sun set at Gasworks Park in Seattle, met up with Jenny, Heidi and Fulwizzle, ate at the Broadway Grill & Gateway to India, toured the capitol in Olympia, saw several Greenhouses, did some yardwork, gorged on ice cream and got quite a few massages. It was an AWESOME week! And as if it wasn't cool ENOUGH, Adrian gave me a hobbit's journal, Laur made me WV shirts and a photo collage, Jay gave me The Little Prince, and Stace and Nat met me in Salt Lake City with mac-n-cheese, beer and the best chocolate cake ever. It was tiring and rough, but sooooo much good, wholesome fun!
Sigh :) Trying to think of more highlights!!! Ooooh Jay and I got strawberry rhubarb pie and vanilla ice cream for a midnight snack when there were too many people at Bertolino's, had some kick-ass Earl Grey at the Urban Onion after getting NO sleep Monday night and that totally woke me up, saw LOTS of beautiful flowers, watched the train go through Steilacoom, enjoyed lots of Sunshine, got new Point Defiance playing cards, didn't end up in the hole, and met/hung out with a great many awesome people...So that was the highlight of my life for now...
It's gonna go downhill being away from certain people and doing corn de-tassling, but you take the bitter with the sweet, right?!? And I am one lucky girl :~) Muah to everyone, hope y'all are well :)
