TRUE STORY.

WHAT IS GOING ON LIVEJOURNAL. It's been a month or something severally traumatizing like that. I haven't been this terrible with updating since I started. But life is still full of my roommate, the Lifetime movie, working way too much (but I need to), and my grand, grand adventures in the city with tosca1390. In more serious news, my abuelita passed away a couple of weeks ago. I'm okay. We're all okay. It was just hard and I'm just happy she's not in pain anymore. My sister gave me a week's notice about her wedding (but you know, stuff happens and it got canceled/relegated to the end of July.) She's also having a boy. My crazy cat cousin that hates my older sister is also getting married. In St. Thomas? I think? She just asked for my address. I'm ignoring the facebook message.

Anyways. THINGS I'M SUPER INTO. WHICH, well, not a whole lot?

1. THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN. Was charming! Emma Stone and AG have stupidly amazing chemistry and were great at making out. Totally get how this transitions into RL making out. Which, yay! MARTIN SHEEN AND SALLY FIELD CAN TOTALLY PLAY MARRIED PEOPLE. Just less tragedy, okay? WAY less tragedy. Also in the array of trailers that were shown, Jake G is back at it with legitimate movies. Good for him.

2. SEEING ALL THE MOVIES TUMBLR WAS INTO NINE YEARS AGO and then ehhing about them. Yeah, okay. X-Men. I'm pretty sure I have you to blame for cockblocking my HBO viewing of Wrath of the Titians 9,000 times.

Total sidebar though. I caught a episode of Newsroom. It was really engaging and not as obnoxious as I thought it was going to be? I know, I know. It's Sorkin and the West Wing will forever remain one of those shows for me and the rest of the world. But then I remember the Social Network and how much I just didn't care about it? Anyways, I like what I saw? I love political-based shows. And I'm totally psyched for Political Animals.

3. GETTING PSYCHED UP FOR BOND 23. Or Skyfall. But sometimes my brain gets caught in BUT WAIT WHERE'S THE TRAILER TWO YEARS AGO moments and I apologize.

4. THE NEW CAT POWER SINGLE. Ruin is catchy as fuck.

5. ALL THE ANIME/MANGA. We will not talk about the dark period of my life where I read about nine billion shoujo mangas without regret and so hated myself later. But Netflix seems to be a cesspool for the good, the bad, the ugly, and the hey I saw you when I was, like, eleven. The latest? Black Bulter. Which I have a lot of feelings about, mostly me not getting the fact that there are all these awesome characters and of course, I like the ones that nobody likes. Whatever.

5b. WHICH BRINGS ME TO SAILOR MOON 2013 AND HOW I HAVE A WISHLIST THAT IS 90000000000000 PAGES LONG BECAUSE I AM SUCH A HARDCORE MANGA STAN. Yes, the anime is lovely and kitchy and I never want it to apologize for it being that way because my life would be meaningless without Mamoru's terrible fashion sense or the R movie or Usagi in general. But the fact that the words "closer to the manga" were uttered simultaneously freaks me out and delights me. The manga is so important and striking and pretty clear why Usagi is my favorite as is Minako and how these girls are warriors and Mamoru and Usagi have sex on the kitchen floor and makeout a lot the end. I am nervous. I want it to be done right. I will be such a mess.

6. I did write a lot of fic. It's all up on AO3, including an update to the untitled series. There's a lot of Korra, Sailor Moon, Black Butler, and of course, Bleach. And bookmarks that I need to catch up on and review because I am terrible and my laptop is having a rough month and really just wants me to watch Dance Moms, so.

But come say hello! I am trying to catch up on stuff.

show: sailor moon, misc: sailor moon 2013, fic: ao3, rl: where have you been c, rl: adulthood?
