Weekend at Emma's! Which sounds like weekend at Bernie's. Except tosca1390 is very much alive, making me watch The Sound of Music, and so not dead. I'm also definitely on my way to finishing a bottle of wine. With feelings.

YES YES YES THIIIIIIS. I am kind of obsessed with Korra's relationship with each element. I think it's so telling how fire is always what she goes to when she doesn't have time to think about it, whereas earth is when she's being stubborn or angry but she's still very much in control of herself, and water is always almost an afterthought and she only seems to use it when the situation calls for it. (Which adds this really interesting layer to her probending, that she's doing something that maybe isn't incredibly natural to her and METAPHORS AND THINGS, and also makes me SO, SO CURIOUS about what she would be like a probender for earth or fire.)
ALSO, OKAY, PUT THIS AWAY BEFORE YOU HURT SOMEONE: There's a precision when she trains; groping for instinct is something she struggles with too. She doesn't feel like she has the balance between instinct and training just yet. contrasting with:
It's instinct to launch herself forward; keeping herself steady feels like recoiling.
And how that's her trouble with the boys, how they perfectly represent her relationship with each element - Mako/fire is her gut instinct of what she wants when she doesn't give herself time to think about it, but Bolin/earth makes sense with her personality and is so natural to her in so many ways. BOYS! KORRA! KIDS!!!! Basically, I love this and I'm so delighted this show is getting some of the fandom it deserves, wowzers.
