HAPPY BIRTHDAY
falseeeyelashes!
DEAR MICHELLE, IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, OR RATHER AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES INTO YOUR BIRTHDAY, AND I JUST WANTED TO WISH YOU A HAPPY, HAPPY DAY. YOU'RE INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL AND LOVELY AND MY FAVORITE OF MY FAVORITEST PEOPLE. YOU MEAN A LOT TO ME, AN UNEXPECTED BFF WHO MAKES ME LAUGH AT FOUR O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING ABOUT ESCAPADES THAT OTHER PEOPLE MAY HEAR AND THINK OF ME AS CRAZY.
Anyways. I look forward to the day where we're old ladies, retired in the Dominican Republic, decked out in Chanel and surrounded by cabana boys. I am also not responsible for the birthday present that I'm going to unleash on you later in the week - remember, it usually goes: "Oh, idea! But it's ... crazy." and you're like, "DO IT." So there's my disclaimer.
But really, happy birthday. I love you. ♥
lol, you have to understand that in the South End most of these beautiful brick buildings are old, old, old and hotter than hell. So to my surprise and delight, my older sister comes over last night with an AIR CONDITIONER. And I know you're like, C, really - but seriously, if you've been in Boston for the last couple weeks, you should know that it hasn't been a surprise is someone's face started melting off. Really.
But things are good, things are really great. I have a major presentation on Thursday about a major project -- eight years in the Dominican Republic. Going back and forth. My fingers and toes are crossed, guys. Because it's going to be amazing and I'm really excited to talk about it. I just can't yet, lol. The photo show went really, really well! Our next one is in September, during Open Studios, which I'm also pumped about. Other projects? I'm a part of something big and something about blogging -- lol, I can't really talk about this either until we're finished with putting things together and our inaugural event is confirmed. But you guys, this is even bigger for me because this is my baby and both my bosses are being incredibly supportive and pushing and amazing - and I'm not saying this because one of them is my sister.
But PHI's in a
book! A good friend of mine and secret project partner-in-crime, Jess is hosting the book launch event tomorrow. Nilda's my sister, if you check the pictures out.
My True Blood thoughts are as followed: "Eric/Sookie! Eric/Sookie! Pam! Jessica! Pam! Werewolves!" And then, " ... Bill. Er, right." I mean, I'm into you Season Three. I'm really pumped for the ride. But wow, that last scene. I know everybody and their mother is talking about it, or was talking about it, but jesus.
But really, Eric/Sookie. I love it. I love where it's going - maybe a little too fast - but there's something really delightful about Sookie when she's with Eric. I guess I'm a sucker for banter and at the same time, AP and AS really play this mix of vulenerability and curiosity against each other, really, really, really well. And it delights me.
