I wanted to do something tentative. Because, as you know, I was wary of it all to begin with. So before jump in head first, I needed to get used to it I gues.
But I'm so glad you enjoyed it. ♥

Let me see if I can explain why. The distance I think, the distance between Syd and Vaughn and Alli and House. The quiet intelligence of Allison coming from the line of Emily. I can see that. I see that working.
I can see how quiet Allison and exuberant Syd would work together.
It... I don't know. Just works.
Doesn't hurt that I love both shows.

My favorite part was, But Sydney, when it comes down to it, is about history. 'cause it's true. It makes sense that she and Allison could be best friends. They both have these angsty issues regarding boys, for one thing. heh.
I like it when fanfic renews my interest in a series. Now I feel compelled to watch my Alias DVDs again. So thank you for that. :D
(I also like your Syd/Vaughn icon. Must make some Alias icons of my own, yes yes.)

I wanted to stick with the tangible (Allison's related to Emily, Sloane too damn creepy for me) and do something that could be of the norm almost.
But Alias is ♥ to me. Will always be. *grins*
Glad you enjoyed it.

So, I suck. I was going to reply to this more fully, then life got hectic, I had something going on out of town, then more hecticness...and oh, yeah, the computer died. *laughs* But, I enjoyed this so much I had to make sure I dropped in at least a small note.
This? Gah, so much love. It seemed effortless, the way you blended both time-lines together. I could really see Syd and Allison as best friends, yet there's this distance - I'm not even sure I can put my finger on it. You weaved everything together very smoothly and the little vignette at the end with S/V and H/C about killed me. And? You included Jack. Oh, Jack Bristow. ♥
Yeah, that wasn't a very good review. *laughs* Sorry. Just know that I absolutely adored it. Going in my memories. ♥
