Cosplay progress?!
Hayyy dudes I may just have a teeny bit of time to work on cosplay during this semester, whoa. Hell froze over? Actually, RI froze over. Twice. No, make it three times already. It dried out, then rained, froze up, it snowed, then rained, froze up more...dried out...froze... and then this next Tuesday it's going to snow/.rain again! I'm sick of this weather!!!!!!!
Anyway, for Anime Boston. I've come to a conclusion of sorts.
No Yeager. I can't do him in this time frame. Argh. Maybe I'll work on it another time.
I decided I'm aiming for:
Rita's default costume
and
Kaito... the VOCALOID!
Yes...Kaito! He's my new waifu. OH MY GOD, I LOOOOOOVE his voice, even his high pitched ones (*guilty look*). Ahaha. It's so heavenly.. even when chip-sounding! But I'm making Rita first, then Kaito, if I have enough time. x: It'll be pretty cool because raine_sage81 will be Estelle AND Miku, hehe. So it fits. I wonder if there's gonna be more Vocaloids or Vesperians? ^___^ (Maybe an Akaito? omg that would be cool >_>).
So I got some red acetate for Rita's goggles (thanks to facklemuffin) because she has tinted lenses, and I'm trying to experimentally lighten the red...since it's more of a pink. ^^;;; I've run through a whole list of things to use as tests to make a faded/lighter red. Bleach (nope), white out (too strong), gel pen (nada), marker (not even a little), even toothpaste (drying it now..), and now I have some acrylic paint (drying too- I think this is my best bet) .. I'm just using test strips now. When I get good enough results, I'll cut out the shapes and somehow (glue?) them onto the existing lenses. :3
So that's pretty much it for cosplay...hee. I haven't cut up Rita's leggings yet.. I suppose I'll do that after I make her robe and stuffs. I bought the fabric last night. ^^
School wise... I've been steadily, slowly working on bits and pieces of stuff. The only thing I have left for today is to finish my damn presentation/outline for my stupid boring Education class due Tuesday. Oh and I have a quiz for my 8 am lab that day, too. Did I mention it's going to snow that morning/all day? Uggghhhhhh. NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.
