I can't believe school is almost over. Although I can't wait for summer, I also don't want this year to end. Urgh. It's not the work that I'll miss, it's the people in class! :( I've got so many memories now!
I usually have a favorite class for each year and this year's choice was really, really tough. I didn't know until the very end... ^_^ It's actually a tie between Math and History. Believe it or not (it's usually English or art or something of the like--but not this time!). But I'm not judging on rheir personality really...just teaching manner. :D On with the show!!
Yes, math... I've always hated ANYTHING math-related, but my world has been turned upside down. :) My teacher's teaching (uh for lack of a better word) was actually understandable. SUCCESS! Not to mention the class itself was so very fun. XD Ms Osterman always had a way with teaching... not to mention the hands on work as well (whiteboards, games, teaching the class, etc). It opened up my eyes a bit...I mean, to actually understand and appreciate math teachers (or at least the math teacher I had this year, hehe)? Wow! And I will never forget what went on in class, no matter how obscene or inane. XD Undoubtedly, Dave and Summer always spice up the classroom!! Haha. :) I have to say that my math teacher is a very, very tolerable and patient person. Ahaha. xD
As for history, well, what can I say? The teacher is awesome... he's so very smart. I wish I was as smart as he is. Really. :D His teaching method is quite unique when compared to all the other teachers I've had in the past. Since he's a college professor, he usually just lectures. Hehe. Although he ends up always lecturing AT me... because I'm one of the few who actually stay awake during the whole period. XD I have to hand it to him--his teaching method, although a tad flawed, is actually quite useful as it will prep us for when we go to college. :D Even if he's a (and I quote him on this entirely) "jaded, bitter old man" he's still a very cool person. Urp, I can't believe I just said that. XD Although I won't miss his mean remarks at times...and the nasty cigar smell everytime he walks into the room. >_<;;; It was very amusing to see students approach him with many questions, no matter how farfetched or absurd they were, and to see his reponse to them. You could say he's quick-witted at times although because of the age gap he doesn't get some of the things... haha. :D I couldn't have had Western Civ without Dr. Lough. ^_^
Yes I'll miss my classes. ;3; I think I almost had as much fun as I did my sophomore year. Wow. XD It's times like these that I stand by the saying, "experiences that will last a lifetime."
With regret I will part with my 2005-2006 classes. Hopefully my last year will be the best one and hardest to top. Hahaha. :) I'm looking forward to them.
For those who are wondering, I'm typing up this praising stuff 'cause I know the finals will batter me and leave me irritable. Heh. Therefore, I choose to type it up now. XD WHEE.
