Reason being is
this.
I don't mind random people reading my previously public entries, which is why they were public. But the thought of someone claiming ownership of my words is, er, not a very good one.
Of course my posts are super-worth stealing! I can just see everyone eying those words and, y'know, Some Really Great Author pointin' at them and shoutin', 'They're mine!'
After all, I devoted some intensely boring extremely precious moments into the pointless rambling in careful crafting of each and every post.
But of course the real reason is procrastination. Making a Friends Only banner thing! What a new way to procrastinate. I might make three, and choose between them, finally reaching the conclusion that none of them really express the inner feelings in my oh so meaningful soul. So after much thought and a thorough search within my heart, I chose the following as the banner to reveal my true self.
Just to clear things up about friending policies...
Um. There are none. Some people are from real life. Some are from fandoms. Some are random. Sometimes I add random people because I find their posts amusing. Sometimes I'm just lazy and take months to add people I know in real life.
I do eventually read all the posts on my friends page although when I read them they're probably pretty out of date. Therefore most of the time I will friend you first, most probably without asking (though there are always exceptions), since just because I want to read your posts doesn't mean you'd want to read mine. Like wise, if you want to add me, there's no need to ask. I'll eventually notice even if you don't poke.
If I've randomly friended you, it's likely that you: are into metal, or like certain animes, or write amusing posts, or are being stalked none of the above.
Commenting is erratic, and is directly proportional to the level of procrastination.
But really, if you can't read any of the posts, you're missing out on absolutely fascinating posts about all sorts of things - haha not missing anything.
That's all, I think... Glad everything is nice and, er, clear...
