I seriously hate doing job applications. I swear the second I even see the words 'selection criteria' all I can hear is diminishing echoes in my head as my brain runs screaming off into the distance

Oh I know you understand hun. Hubby and I have been agonising for months about moving. Worried that we are being stupid leaving stable jobs. But need a change. Hubby's work environment has become kind of toxic with his bosses putting all this responsibility and stress on him that is way beyond his payscale, he went and saw HR last week and they agreed. And my manager has already told me my job has no chance of advancement.
It will be nice if we can move closer to mum and dad. Actually if I get this job, which I have a fair chance at, I have the experience and qualifications, it will be on the beautiful North coast of NSW. We could go to the beach or mountains on the weekend, there will actually be nice places to go eat. Its a very arty community in that area too.
It will mean a couple months away from hubby, as he will have to stay here until the house sells most likely though, but will be worth it in the long run.
Good luck with the job searching/applying! I know it's hard, but something will come along that is just meant for you :) I hate talking myself up too, but it's just one of those things :/
I've sent in the application, so fingers crossed. If all goes well I could be moving interstate in a matter of weeks, which is terrifying and massively exciting. Hubby keeps telling me I'm too honest in my applications and under sell myself *shrugs* I was happy with how the application ended up though.
Gosh, I know, I always have to ask my parents what to write where when I do applications D: I just don't now how to sell myself very well at all unless it is cake-related!
