30 day shipping meme...Day 1
home alone and stalking the internet…so a multi-fandom 30 day shipping meme to pass the time…I started this yesterday but got lost somewhere along the line watching vids…so this ended up a little longer than I intended…
01. Favourite het pairing
hmm favourite het pairing is actually rather hard to choose. I’m a sucker for UST, most of the pairings I like never seem to end up together :( Ok here are some of my favourite pairings…
I adored Daniel and Vala in Season 9 & 10 of Stargate SG1. You could easily argue that they were totally unsuited for each other, Daniel with his ethics and Vala with her shall we say creative approach, obviously caused friction, but they were so darn sweet together. They brought out so much in each other, both cared so much even if they pretended not to. Stargate in general made me laugh a lot, but these two were just adorably cute together…
I loved Starbuck and Apollo in Battlestar Gallatica. Their relationship was so fucked up and probably doomed from the start, but I couldn’t help hoping they sort things out some day. I loved them butting heads all the time. The sheer emotion Apollo showed for her at times was heartbreaking. Then of course Anders come along and got in the way, though I couldn’t help but like him anyway.
Peter and Olivia from Fringe. Peter was so obviously smitten with Olivia right from the moment they met. Olivia despite her toughness is so vulnerable, she puts up all sorts of defences to keep him at bay, yet she still falls for him. I have been loving season 3 and all the friction between them after he was with the alternate Olivia. It was so sweet the way she held onto his memory to help her when she was stuck on the other side. These two are so obviously right for each other its ridiculous.
John and Cameron in The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The gradual building of his emotions and trust towards her, despite the fact she was a terminator. The idea that a machine was capable of genuine feelings and her attachment and protectiveness of him was too good not to love.
Bones and Booth. There’s something about someone emotionally closed off letting someone else in that is just too compelling to resist. These two have that in spades. UST abounds everywhere. Booth is so protective and sweet with her.
Ok it's a hard choice to try and pick a favourite, there are probably other pairings I love as well….but I’m going to go with…. Daniel/Vala, if for no other reason than while I was searching for vids I loved theirs the best...ask me tomorrow and I will probably change my mind…
