This rings very true, yes, Cas learned to think for himself, and developed free will, but I believe he still kinda longs for the simplicity of getting orders, and following them like a soldier. I, also, love how you brought out Cas' feeling of not belonging, like Misha said, there is no way Cas would be home in Heaven again!

After everything he has been through there is no way he could just go back to heaven and feel at home. Following orders was so much simpler, now he has to deal with all the complexity of going his own way.
Lets see how long I can keep up the drabble a day, I don't exactly have the best track record for posting regulary
