Second Dragonfly (Up, up, and dooown!) [English]

Aug 04, 2011 01:00

[Aside Gakupo's warnings, the purple dragon decided that it would be wiser to begin the journey now. Whether it was his valiant, almost hardheaded nature, or his desperate need to escape from the death-bringing dust, Spyro decided it was time to travel to Loki.

And so he began, flying straight up towards the sky. He flew and flew, gaining altitude ( Read more... )

O-oi, mate... that's a long distance to try to cover straight. I had to go around the lake... more importantly, are you okay?

[Spyro nods his head yes, but it is rather notable that he is not as well as he says he is. He coughs a few times.]

The dust here in Discedo is poisonous... and my chest hurts from breathing...

Once you get out near the trees it's not quite so bad, eh? Better oxygen, but seriously, don't try flying over the lake like that. It takes longer but if you fall into the lake it'll hurt far worse -- it's also acidic right now.

[Spyro ceased from giding in the direction he was taking, and rather, angled himself to begin to fly at the shore of the lake. He decided it was better to take the advice.]

Very well... Thank you, my friend.

Tell me, what is your name?

Marco, thanks mate. [For taking the advice he means. Most people don't listen to him.]

Not to sound ridiculous, but are always a dragon, or is this a special form?

[Spyro cocks his head, but then shakes it.]

No, I'm a dragon, and only that. My name is Spyro.

Awesome.

Have you met China yet?

Yes, I have. He was rather excited about seeing me, oddly enough.

He values dragons very much.

So I've heard.

[Though he seems a little evasive about it.]

[Out of nowhere the purple dragon makes a pained face, and suddenly one of his wings gives in. The screen shakes violently as it seems like Spyro lost his grip of it. He grabs onto it though, and regains stability.]

[In something of a groan.] Sorry...

Don't apologize.

You okay? You might want to walk until you get further away from the city, eh?

Poor Spyro is a little stubborn [video] fatdragonfly August 5 2011, 06:27:31 UTC
[Spyro sighs from exhaust.]

I'll be gliding for a while, so it doesn't require much energy.

You got enough updrafts for that now? Good. Flying on the lake was kind of a bitch. Even when I had the Weather Hardy to return to.

Are there many unstable wind currents near this lake?

More like on it. It has weird dips. I guess because of where the lake is deeper it's colder, and it's in unpredictable places. Sorry, I'm not sure how long dragons live where you're from, but if you haven't had several decades of experience flying, it might be extremely risky. And if you're already having trouble with the radiation...

I have lived for sixteen winters. I did not know how to fly at first, but my master taught me well.

[Spyro's wing gives up again, but only momentarily.]

My chest hurts breathing the dust in Discedo though.
