Homeward bound (and gagged)

Quito is a city whose Old Town has been taken over by modern conveniences and yet served an amazingly delicious slow-cooked goat, and whose new Town has been utterly replaced by western tourism establishments, to the point everything here is in english and it has the nickname Gringolandia.
In a few hours I board a plane, which will go to Lima. From eher i fly to Santiago and wait for 20 hours, before getting a plane to Auckland and then another to Melbourne. I will get back on the 2nd of July, having missed the 1st completely. Coming home party on the 3rd, if we don't die of jetlag first. Cannot wait to get home. Cannot stand to have finished travelling. Am terrified of the nightmare of flights and connections that awaits me. One more post to go, then this electronic journey will also be finished. I'm jittery.
