Ah, Opening Day, and Red Sox vs. Yankees no less. It's a beautiful day when Billy Crystal, Regis, and Donald Trump among other annoying pop-culture icons get to watch their home-town team go down in ignominious defeat. (I hope!)
Also, yesterday was quite possibly the most physically uncomfortable day of my life as we played Michigan in freezing cold snow and rain, on a turf field which was guaranteed to rob any warmth from your body on contact. And worst of all, I didn't get to play-I stood and froze for three hours before they decided to cancel the B-side (read: J. V.) game because of the shitty conditions. And the whole time I was coping with a painful, cannibus induced sore throat. Ugh. It took twenty minutes in the shower to de-numb my fingers and toes, and the lobster in the back of my throat still hasn't stopped its pinching, clawing, and general unpleasantness. The only bright side is that things can only get better from here.
