Not doing BBQ fest
Well I rehearsed with the Palominos this last Saturday and everyone (the guys in the band, their manager, and myself) were very happy with the results. So I've got two expenses I have to get - A new acoustic guitar as mine is pretty worn out and a band uniform. Thier uniform consists of a western cut jacket and a cowboy hat. Within the next few weeks I have to go the western wear store in San Diego where James and Thomas got their jackets and get fitted for a jacket of my own and get my head measured for a hat. We were booked to play the Los Angeles Bar-B-Que festival on May 11th at the Santa Monica pier but due this was booked before the former lead singer and drummer quit and I'm not up to speed on their original songs, we had to cancel. On one hand I'm kind of relived that we're not doing this for the above reason but on the other hand I'm sad because I was looking forward to making my debut with the band. I'm hoping we'll get to play there next year. I'll let you know when and where we'll be playing and if you're in the Los Angeles or San Diego area, I hope you'll come out to see us.
