Berserk
SPOILER Ahhhhhh! I just finished reading the latest chapter of Berserk (#317) and I must say that is the best anime I have ever laid my eyes on. The story is so deep and twisted it will make your head spin. Even though Griffith is a pure sadist he is the BEST anime villain EVER. No pansy Sephiroth (Final Fantasy) or Orochi (Naruto) can compare to this bad ass! I think Aizen (Bleach) took some lessons from him on how to be a complete backstabbing BASTARD. Gatts is the epitome of eternal struggle and Caska = Tragic. When I first started this series I wanted to talk to someone about it and since it is to dark for my friends I went to a form. The biggest discussion was not on the plot of the anime, but on CASKA being a tanned white person versus being black. Why that should matter is beyond me, but I was upset, because it shows the peon mindset of some people. Regardless of what shade Caska is there is no changing that she is a complete badass! However she is from some 'darker' decent since Kentarou Miura (creator) incorporates many races. One of the most notiable that I admire is the Egyptian and Mongolian esk invaders/villains he had. They are so expressive and his artwork with them is so distinct and beautiful.
