walking through the hallway, i hear the echo of my footsteps in my ear
and the sound of a familiar voice in the distance
you face shining with happiness, exuberant and joyful
but as our eyes meet, time froze and i was transported to another world
a world of shadows and mysteries, and upon a tall hill, lies a fortified dweling
where the walls reach as high as the sky, guarded by the most vicious of creatures
all who have atempted to enter with false intensions have been destroyed without mercy
it is unfortunate that the wall we build to keep the sorrow also keeps out our happiness...
this is our solitude
and at that instant i was brought back and you kept walking...
but my heart ached with an immense pain, and i grasped my chest, leaned against the wall
and looked back at you...i wept for the pain in your heart...
