wanting a slushie

May 06, 2006 23:57

seriously. i have the most selfish friends.
they refuse to drop whatever they are doing to indulge me in a sheetz slushie when i ask for it. SELFISH.
oh, i'm done with ochem forever (forever = until i decide to start studying for the MCATs = THIS SUMMER OH CRAP). my parents are coming tomorrow to see my opera scene/take back everything that i won't need for the next month of my life. which means, among other things, my chem books. all four of them. they're going awayyy and i can't wait.
however, i still have to keep my physics and greek books. which is all sorts of sad, because that serves as a painful reminder that i am severely underprepared for my next finals. physics on monday (which, by the way, i really could stand to ace as far as my GPA is concerned), greek on tuesday (ditto about the acing thing). but i think that my ochem final went well, which is always good news.
i have to pack some of my worldly possessions up tonight. and i just realized that i have approximately zero warm weather articles of clothing. what am i supposed to wear in the caribbean? aahhhh!
my keyboard broke today. i fixed it. it was one of the greatest moments of my life.
i took my posters down from the walls. they're naked and it's oh so sad.
the next thing i have to do is go through my papers and find the ones that i still need.
and buy a snack. and some soda. because i want to. and because i've earned it somehow by sleeping the day away when i should by any reasonable accounts be studying my hair out.
but you know, i like to push myself. with questionable results.
typing questionable makes me think questionable content which makes me think WEBCOMICS ! which makes me think of wondermark.com and how wonderful it is. he has this feature called the comic strip doctor, where he goes through some of the worst syndicated comics (garfield, beetle bailey, FRED MOTHER@$%@#$%$% BASSET) and improves them. he mentioned this feature that used to be on the internet called the garfield randomizer, which would (as the name strongly hints) take random panels of garfield and string them together to make....an actual funny (if not surreal) comic! who'd-a-thunk? also, there is an internet movement to take all of garfield's dialogue out of all of the comics. it makes for some real funny stuff. it's actually kind of sad, jon is just talking to himself and reacting to a cat that didn't actually...say...anything.
it's sad in the same way that i spent my day doing THIS instead of oh...anything else?
anyway, goodnight kids. and if any of you are in the greater meadville area tomorrow and looking for some fun to be had, might i recommend opera scenes? it's free...and you would be supporting me! and i totally need support guys! come on! you can...hang out with my parents? maybe invite yourself to applebee's afterwards? no? cracker barrel? nothing?
oh well. i tried.

EDIT: rachel is NOT selfish. not only did she take me out for a slushie as soon as i wrote this, but she BOUGHT ME HO-HOS! you could all learn a thing or two.
(i mean...love you guys!)
