(no subject)
So things like they are working out finally. I finished all my work for school. I am finsihed with my undergraduate degrees. I graduate on May 20th. It looks like i'll graduate summa cum laude. I'll be having a family party on sunday the day after graduation...so mark you are coming. I accepted a job with an agency that is contracted through DSS but another agency that is part of DMR (Department of Mental Retardation) offered me more money and less travel time. I am taking the job at DMR. I will have the title of Behavioral Specialist, which isn't something someone usually gets right out of college and the pay is pretty good for social work straight out of college even with two BA's.
I just got a check for my car for 1662. I guess they totaled it but since it is over 10 years old i can keep it. The car works fine but there is a huge tent in one side, but it doesn't affect the car's ability to run at all. I am paying off all my credit cards. I also found out i have 16,000 in school loan, which i guess isn't too bad considering a lot of people have a lot more to deal with. Almost 5,000 could be forgiven since i am working in human services, but thats not for sure. I still have a while til i have to start paying them, about 6 months after May 20th.
This saturday one of my oldest friends Tiara will have her wedding shower. It is very strange to be watching a friend from high school get married. I guess we are really grown ups now.
I got my ipod nano and all the crap. I got the buds but found an attachment that fits better in my ear since i have small ears. I got pretty/practical cases. I also got itrip so i can listen to the thing anywhere there is a radio.
So yeah i am staying at school until the 15th to work at the library to make some spending money. I am finsished with school and my internship. All i have to do is move my stuff back home in spencer. My plans to move to florida are being put off for a year or two. Neither Lee nor I want it but it is a must because right now we both are making good money and need to save. He just got a promotion so he is making a little less than me but not much less. However, he has physical labor and i have paper work and playing with individual with mental retardation....i think i win (too bad it cost 16000in loans).
