"It's Mai, Kyo. Are you doing anything tonight?"

Oh, shit, Mai. It sounds like he's at a restaurant; he pulls the receiver away from his mouth long enough to say "no, no pickles".

"'Sup girl. Nah, I'm not doing anything... you got something in mind?"

It should be a damned good thing that she's calling, damn you. She'll ignore the restaurant bit.

"Perhaps some clubbing? It should be good tonight, I think."

Hey man, he can't help who calls his cell. He checks his watch -- Saturday night? Hell yes.

"Yeah! That sounds cool. You got a place in mind?"

There's crumpling of paper, a mumbled "thanks". The reception gets clearer.

"Yeah, shit. We could go there if you want... kind of a rowdy spot on the weekend, though." He pauses to take a drink of something. "You sure you're up for it?"

"I'm pretty sure I am, you have no idea how badly I'm looking for something with action today." She sighs a little bit, tapping on something again. "Really, getting my mind off of things will take that much."

"Action, huh?" Nobody said Kyo was ever polite; this may be why he starts eating while he's talking to her. :'D "Sure, we could do that." Swallow. "What time were you thinkin' about?"

It was probably good that Mai didn't really expect him to be polite, she'd figured that out a long while ago. "Probably around ten? Nothing good seems to happen before then."
