I had a fantastic time at
scrivener13's Birthday party. It was great fun to hang out with everyone and the food was definately a success.
scrivener13 did you get a copy of your mothers' lemon curd topping? Didi said she'd ask for it and I'd love to get that recepie.
My favourite moment was in the spare room when
canzonet started a game of spin the bottle!
pistoleer probably would have taken it up ... I wish I had a camera to capture Paul's expression!
glass_hurricane -- we need to set a date to swap notes ... sometime after Friday.
I really felt grounded and relaxed after that and unfortunately had to return to homework.
But
lumberchef let me procastinate, so I got to watch "V for Vendetta" before starting.
And then
this happened. It was really hard to come down from that high!
The silly thing was too that it wasn't really put away "some place safe". I had put it in the bag with the left-over mini photo albums I had for the kids at the wedding. I guess it made sense to me at the time, but I shudder to think of what might have happened if that plastic shopping bag had a hole in it.
So I did work on my project, but not very much ... gotta finish it today while I'm working here in the computer lab (should be possible, since I'm here until 7pm and it's fairly slow).
ONE MORE WEEK (ie: 5 days left) of classes! I have classes in the fall, but they are all on-line, so I will be in practicum Mon-Thurs, and have Fri-Sun off ... hopefully, I'll be working lots to pay for gas and tuition and also be super organized for my projects.
So all I have left to do before Friday is:
-finish running record report (~1hr) -->TODAY
-start Anti-Bullying project with group (in-class hopefully)
-start studying for Reading final exam
-catch up on Reading class reading (~2-3hrs over a period of time)
-reading for Pro-social behaviour class (~1hr)
-apply for Sept student loans
-income tax
Oh and I found out that our union looks like it finally reached an agreement with UVic ... here's keeping my fingers crossed that we will accept it ... wohoo to a signing bonus! (I don't know how many hours I've worked, but if I've worked enough then I'll get around $3000!!)
