Moo Part Deux

Fuck it's been a bloody long time since I've updated. Properly. And still can't seem to think of what to write at this point - life has been pretty fluid but somewhat unexciting - start work on the car next weekend, having a few weeks off company DJing, still doing the biz at Psychonaut tomorrow night though, that's about it ( Read more... )

NO IT IS NOT MY FUCKING PIGEON!!! DO I LOOK LIKE A PIGEON FUCKER TO YOU???? AND I DON'T VALUE YOUR OPINION ON MY JOURNAL!!! AND PIGEON IS SPELT WITHOUT A 'D'!!! :)))

(ahem) Anyway, if you can be bothered, take a look at some of my earlier journal entries and the pigeon phenomenon will be revealed!

The icon comes from some "pigeon fancier" (do with that what you will, ladies and gentlemen) who decided to post pictures of his pigeon online. How did I find them? Weeell, mainly because I obviously have too much time on my hands but partly because I wanted a new icon. Any REAL pigeon left around me for any length of time will be abused about its weight and told to go to Jenny Craig until it flies away and is captured by some expensive Melbourne Restaurant and put on a plate*

* This is true. My friend works as an articles clerk for a legal firm and recently they were treated to a $50 dinner - and roast pigeon was one of the menue choices. I kid you not. So if you want to save money and also eat well then just go and stand under the flames near Crown Casino, hold your toasting fork aloft with the other bums, shout "Gonna get me some fried Chick-en!" and wait for lightly-grilled manna from heaven...

* yes pi(d)geon is served at resteraunts, but tis not the same sort of pi(d)geon that flies around the city...I know this because I worked as a Chef in three fine dining establishments over 5 years. They farm them, like they farm other birds. Its a different breed of bird. The ones around urbanised areas are too diseased to serve as food.

not shur of the breed....but they also call it squab (to trick those people who think its dirty to eat pigeon into eating it).
We just used to pick up the phone and say "hey terry, give us another box of thos pigeons on friday" when we wanted some. Never occured to me to ask about the breed. Its like me asking our supplier about the breed of eggplant or asparagus we're ordering.

I was trying to find it on the net for you, but, alas after 10 minutes I gave up.

Ahhh, why is it when you just want to visit your favourite website you get taken to transexual eskimo donkey porn, but when you want to find out something IMPORTANT on the net you can't even do it in ten minutes.

CURSES!

I'd declare holy war on the internet if I didn't enjoy it so much.

Maybe if I can be bothered I will actually try to find out myself. But thanks for trying on my behalf, I owe you ten minutes :)

Love Dan
(and that sounds wrong too)
