channel 9 - Survivor: All Stars
Premiere
18 castaways including four previous champions compete for the chance to win $1 million.
Reality TV
channel 10 - Australian Idol The Concert
The television phenomenon takes to the stage with a national concert tour. Includes all the highlights from the Melbourne leg of the tour. The line-up for the national tour includes all 12 of the Australian Idol finalists. Idol, Guy Sebastian will be joined by his mate, country boy pin-up and runner-up Shannon Noll. Also on the bill are Cosima de Vito, who made a controversial withdrawal from the competition, headline-grabbing Robert "Millsy" Mills, Levi Kereama, Paulini Curuenavuli, Kelly Cavuoto, Cle Morgan-Wootton, Rebekah La Vauney, Matt Chadwick, Lauren Buckley and Peter Ryan. Special Guest Host is Australia's favourite judge Ian "Dicko" Dickson. Also making a special guest appearance will be Idol semi-finalist Courtney Act.
Wow! I'm just overwhelmed by the level of mediocrity on offer! I don't know how I'm going to decide which bit of media drivel is worth my precious viewing time...
BUT!!! If that wasn't enough, see what gems Channel 7 has to follow up with later in the night:
Extreme Makeovers Beverly Hills Style
Follows a 51-year-old schoolteacher as she undergoes surgery and a full fashion makeover.
... and this is worth A WHOLE HOUR of tv programming???? And then finally they cap the night off with:
Playboy's 50th Anniversary Celebration
A night of glitz and glamour, and the announcement of the 50th anniversary playmate. Hosted by Hugh Hefner and featuring Drew Carey and Jenny McCartney.
... isn't it just a night for alcohol or weed, and sitting on the couch laughing your arse off? I would mention the return of Rove in among the trash, but I want my trash to be FUNNY.
Love Dan
