Strange musings while up to my elbows in grease on a friday afternoon...

There's nothing quite like spending ages scrubbing away the remains of a gasket from an exhaust manifold to make you look forward to a good night out...

Yes, for those desperate to know, the Sigma is STILL off the road, but this has been mainly due to my friend Daniel not having any spare time the last few weekends to help out - and there's no way I would attempt to reassemble the cylinder head for fear of making the news as the first person to blow up Melbourne's Northern Suburbs.

So I've spent most of today cleaning all the various parts prior to assembly, which has mainly involved pulling the remains of previous head gaskets off the exhaust and intake manifolds as well as the engine block itself. I have a funky new gasket set sitting in my garage looking for all the world like a model plane kit, as well as a nice, clean, reconditioned cylinder head still in its plastic packaging.

Anyway, all this blathering is just me procrastinating going back out to the garage and getting back down to business with the scraper, so I better cut it short.
