At least we're looking for a dog again
Okay, so, It's been a really emotional weekend. Affiliates were this weekend, and some unfortunate things happened.
Let me just explain how all of this works first. Affilates is the first step to getting to Nationals, which is like the whole reason for this season and this team. If you win Affiliates [state], you move onto Regionals, and if you win Regionals, you go to Nationals.
We were expected to just crush everyone and move right to Regionals. So we were playing this team, The Baltimore Stars, yesterday, and we had beaten them like 3 times before, but this time we LOST. I mean, it was the most shocking thing ever. They didn't even believe it. && I had to watch the whole thing! I mean ugh, it was so depressing. You guys are all probably just like wow Laura shut up it's just hockey, but it's seriously so much more of a big deal to me. I really wanted a chance to play again. I dunno, I don't think anyone can really understand how I feel, except some girls on the team.
I thought I'd just share a few pictures from last weekend [Midwest League Playoffs in Lansing, Michigan] and from a few days ago.
