After another night of poor sleeping, Jim slept in even later than the day before. He didn't get out of his room until early afternoon and even that was just to go get coffee. And then some more coffee. And yet more coffee after that. He was very tired.

That meant the room was conveniently empty. How convenient!

Katara poked open the door, ready to break the lock with waterbending if she really needed too, then slipped inside. "Huh. Where should we look first?"

Hoshi tried to look as sneaky as possible considering that she was green and would probably attract attention. "If I was trying to hide something, I'd put it in the closet," she suggested.

"Unless he shares his closet with his roommate," she whispered. "You check there. I'll check the dresser."

Hoshi opened the closet door. She quickly realized that a closet was a perfectly logical place for a girl to keep something safely, but boys were different. "Okay, there's nothing remotely pumpkin-like in here. Any luck with the dresser?"

"Nope," Katara said, trying to touch as little as possible. She had a brother. She knew about the ick.

"Try under the bed?"

"Seems like the next best spot," said Hoshi.

Katara looked under one of the beds. "...I don't think this is his. Check the other one?"

Hoshi looked under the other bed and... "Got it! It's under this one. Looks like we've got our cursed pumpkin."

Katara bounced with glee. "YAY!"

Then she remembered they were being sneaky. "Yay! We should get out of here before Jim comes back and go step up the campfire."
