This was not Jim's room. It was Gavin's. And yet Jim was here.
He carefully hid seven walkie talkies around the room. He kept an eighth walkie talkie and tested his setup. "Testing. Testing. This is God talking." The setup actually sounded fairly impressive. It could potentially convince someone that a deity was speaking to them. At the very least it was worth a shot.
Now there was just the matter of deciding which god to pretend to be. And the matter of leaving some nuts for the radio squirrels as a bribe. After all, the prank wouldn't work if it was blabbed about on radio.
