hello late :)
pdl 5: seeing life from God's view
I freaking love this and one hundred percent believe it's true: the way you see your life shapes your life. once again there are a million metaphors which I will leave out this time sorry..but book says your unspoken life metaphor influences your expectations, values, relationships, goals, and priorities.
God's view of life: 1. life is a test, 2. life is a trust, and 3. life is a temporary assignment.
Test...stories throughout Bible of God testing people's character, faith, obedience, love, integrity, and loyalty. (Esther is listed as an example of someone who passed a great test ;) !) crazy: when you understand life is a test, you realize nothing is insignificant. God is watching every last thing you do. Ohhhh ... my ... think about that eek. No one is perfect ;)
Good news: "God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out."
Trust..."What do you have that God hasn't give you? And if all you have is from God, why boast as though you have accomplished something on your own?" love this. "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness." Says at the end of your life on earth you will be evaluated and rewarded according to how well you handled what God entrusted to you. Love this: Jesus said, "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." I have been blessed a lot.
Question to consider: What has happened to me recently that I now realize was a test from God? What are the greatest matters God has entrusted to me?
