Steroids in your water?

Mar 10, 2007 15:29

"It is estimated that any water you drink has already been thru the bodies of 5 other people."

"Just as birth control pills helped women avoid unwanted pregnancies, they had the added effect of putting excess estrogen into the environment after they're excreted by the body"

"Sewer plants can remove substances that can harm living organisms, though that can be costly"

"This recycled water means the estrogen levels in males are high resulting in a low sperm count."

Not JUST a low sperm count, says reporter Alexis Gentile. This could also be an explanation for the more effeminate males of our generation.

Some of the water you drink every day has passed through the bodies of other individuals. Estrogen levels are present in the water excreted, which then goes to sewage treatment plants. The treatment plants filter out harmful bacteria and particles, but these plants do not filter out the estrogen. This means that the hormones from birth control pills and females are increasing in the water supply and are introduced to your body when you ingest recycled water.

Drinking water everyday, eating meals cooked in it, and other daily uses of recycled water can cause your estrogen levels to increase. It is well know that estrogen levels are directly linked to mood and cognition. A mood and cognition altering substance entering our bodies in steady dosage, for years, would produce some social side effects not unlike the ones present today.

This would promote female moodiness and the female way of thinking to develop in men, resulting in the 'emo'(short for emotional) generation and an increase in the munber of metrosexuals, homosexuals, and bisexuals. This would also decrease the sperm count(along with increased usage of energy drinks). Although the most troubling issue may be a cause of the rise in cases of depression.

Dont believe me? Check out this section of an MSNBC article featured below.

"When veteran fish biologist John Woodling decided to examine fish inhabiting waters below Front Range sewage plant outlets, what he found shook him and attracted national media attention.

There were very few males and the reproductive organs of both male and female fish had hermaphrodite tendencies: They contained both male and female tissues. It's a scenario he fears may have long-term implications for humans, including people.....

...Because Colorado is a water-poor and people-rich state, what's happening to the fish could happen to humans, he said.

It works like this. As the state's demand for water increases, it will require humans to recycle the water they use, exposing humans to hundreds of recycled pharmaceuticals."
