after crepeslisette + sassymonkey's wedding
is the reception, where i will be doing my best to channel fellow occasional wedding dj's bob + pete from st. etienne
which will be a breeze--they've requested burgalat, broadcast, gainsbourg, call + response, all manner of gilbertos,
+ st. etienne.

BUT. the bride has also requested the presence
of the pink

oh, bird, things went totally wild + we wound up playing a whole set of angular non-gainsbourg, like a certain ratio + the fall--by request! [no damned, tho', how did we overlook them?]

pulp's 'babies', played right after the happy couple's departure, wasn't a request at all. but it did happen.

oh yay! the great northern uk music fest!

unfortunately i know about 2 people that would even request one of those bands.

+ you know what? 1/2 the reception could've used your ian curtis school of dance shirt/tote/foundation garment. if i may avoid sounding presumptuous [or not!], i think i know what i'm wearing to their postpunk party in a week or two, + what they'll be wearing a week after that.
