Anna Wintour stepped out in blond last night, debuting a new look, as New York's Metropolitan Museum was the setting for the annual Costume Institute gala that this year took the theme: 'Dangerous Liaisons: Fashion and Furniture in the 18th Century'. This year, Wintour (US Vogue editor) chose Renée Zellweger and Jude Law to host.
Anyone who knows me knows that Wintour is my career inspiration and absolute hero; I was delighted to find this waiting in my email when I woke up this morning (afternoon) .
*Sidenote* If you haven't received your copy of Vogue for May yet, Nicole Kidman's cover and extensive photoshoot inside are absolutely breathtaking. In particular, the Christian Lacroix cover haute couture satin sheath is my favorite. There is also a photo shoot set to resemble paintings on display at the Metropolitan Museum from France in the late 1700's, photographed by Annie Leibovitz.
