(no subject)
No real update because I was busy with job interviews.
The place we signed a lease with does not have any available two bedroom apartments until October. It was very unprofessional of them to refuse my cancelation and now they pushed back the date. We're not obligated to sign another lease now, which is a good thing.
Eric's mother was in town last week and she offered us her house in Hyattsville free. I believe it's two bedroom, and well.. free!! I was researching on craigslist about how much homes in Hyattsville rent for (two+ bedroom that allow pets) and it's around $1,500 a month. We would only have to pay for the utilities, I'm pretty pleased so hopefully Eric will confirm all of this. It's only 20 minutes away from my new job!
I did forget to mention my new job. The 9th was my last day at PFF, had a good lunch with the girls. But I was sending my resume out like crazy and had no bites. Until this week. I went on three interviews (there were more, but the salary wasn't close to what I was making and I wasn't going to take anything less than $14) I was offered two jobs, the third requested a second interview but I don't have time. I accepted one of the jobs on Wednesday. I am the Administrative Assistant and Accounts Payable for the Sandi Group. They're a large, private international finance, investment and management company with projects in Iraq, Afganistan, Sudan, Kenya, Asia, and the American Gulf Coast.
I can't do a lot of websurfing or personal phone calls because they are a very private company. I had to have a credit, and background check. They're required for a security clearance. I'm very excited. Hours are from 8:30-5:30, I get two one hour breaks, 100% paid benefits, and so many more perks. I still get to go Aspen in August too, while being paid! 15 sick days a year, and two weeks paid vacation, up to 5 days per grievance, unless it's out of the state then I get 7.
My dog Trixie, she just turned 1, we're going to try to have puppies in the next couple of months. I don't know if she's ready yet. She's skinny, and like to run. I'm not sure if that is good for them. Oh well I still need to find a stud away. Maybe the next time she is in heat i'll take her to a Chihuahua meet, and get her knocked up for free.
Holly might be moving back, I'm so excited. She's getting married in September!!!!! Carolina wrote me too, I was very surprised. I hesitated when writing her back. I don't know what the problem is, she's changed since she got her modeling on the road.
