Burnin

Always good to wait til the last minute, I always say...

Got the bike serviced today by a righteous Aussie with a full motorcycle shop in his garage. Best service I have received since I left California!

So the bike is in ship shape. (Hmm... can a bike be in "ship" shape? Seems stability might be a problem... ;-)

I washed it this afternoon, and fixed the rattling rear view mirror. The glass was loose, so I drilled a hole in the plastic back, injected that sealing foam you put around windows, and - after the goo stopped shooting out the hole - covered it up with a little black plug. Looks great and the rattle is gone!

Now I gotta get clothes for the High Sierras, California Coast, and Black Rock Desert all into the two saddlebags on the bike.

Not really a problem except I wanna bring my New Rock boots... and they are HUGE. Like Japanese cartoon character huge. Like StrongBad's boots when he becomes a Japanese cartoon. (Google for ["New Rock" boots] and you will see what I mean.)

Do I really have room for these? Maybe. Do I need them on the Playa? Absolutely. Shoulda given them to Angel to take in the Swan... too late now tho...

Also got some gifties to give away at Burning Man... those silly rubber bracelets, but these are imprinted with the Seven Deadly Sins! So instead of "Live Strong", or whatever, they say, "Sloth" and "Gluttony" and "Lust".

Gotta love it...
